Could be the same TAIP (Transporteos Aereos India Portuguesa) DC-4 but certainly the same airport. EvansB, you have control, although Sabredog was faster off-thread.

Thanks. I posted the above Dabolim aerodrome photo, circa 1958, in "Which Aerodrome ?" Mk.I, some time ago. It is not, however, on the list. .
Here is the next mystery aerodrome, which happens to be one of my top-ten favorite aerodromes: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r.../WAD090625.jpg |
Looks like CYCV - Cartierville, Quebec, Canada with Gouin Boulavard in the foreground. Somewhere I have a copy of the company approach plate with the (unofficial) Instrument guidance "YUL DME 3.2 mi. turn onto runway heading."
Unfortunately all my airfields have been done so Open House. |
The Wichita kid is dead on!:ok: CYCV, near Montreal, Quebec, was home to many Canadian designed and produced aircraft. The site should occupy a place in Canada's history.

As ICT SLB declared open house, here is an easy one;
