Google is your Friend, but sometimes you have grab it by the throat & shake it hard!!

Bonjour Richard,

Following your very good but subtle clues; I now believe that your Challenge shows the Sk 10 Trainer version of the Raab-Katzenstein RK-26 Tigerschwalbe, originally designed by Gerhard Fieseler and built for the Swedish airforce, one was later donated to Finland for the "Winter War" campaign.

Just found your image here!

F19 in the Winter War

It's an early start this morning and a busy day ahead, so please declare Open House if you agree with my findings.

Bradenav 26th May 2010 07:15

:ok: Congratulations SincoTC :ok:

You say " very good but subtle clues "

Very kind words ,I didn't give much clues : Only "German designed ,in Finnish service "

OPEN HOUSE

Noyade 26th May 2010 07:43

Morning to you. I found Sinco's site today which showed all Finnish aircraft in chronological order but stopped at the Fw-44...(I just made an excuse, didn't I?! lol).

American?

Lightning Mate 26th May 2010 07:45

G'day Mate.

American it was.

Noyade 26th May 2010 07:49

Poor quality photo means a "rare" manufacturer, otherwise I was thinking Curtiss?

Lightning Mate 26th May 2010 07:51

I've "silhouetted" the photo, but it wasn't very good in the first place.

I had never heard of the manufacturer, but it's not a Curtiss.

Noyade 26th May 2010 07:51

Ok then....

Noyade 26th May 2010 07:54

Military aircraft...bomber maybe?

Lightning Mate 26th May 2010 07:55

Military aircraft...bomber maybe?
It was indeed. (I didn't think you did much fishing).
