Evening Trevor. Just back from a morning walk...expecting 36 deg.C today. :(

Military - 1914-1918?

SincoTC 18th Nov 2011 20:35

Phew!! Too hot mate :ooh: We're on track for the warmest November in 300 years, despite that, it won't be Christmas on the beach here :)

Military - 1914-1918?
Right on the money there mate :ok:

Noyade 18th Nov 2011 20:50

Looks like the last occupant left a coin in the chair? :)

Is that a wing, mounted high on the fuselage? Strut in the foreground supports another wing? Conclusion - Triplane?

SincoTC 18th Nov 2011 21:04

It's not a tripe! The wing is high on the fuselage, but those struts don't support another wing.

Edit:
Haven't had a chance to look at your silhouette yet!, spent too much time trying to find a cockpit, every one I found was on Mels list :ugh:

Gone ten now and still had no supper :(!

This mystery cockpit has a Canadian connection:

Noyade 19th Nov 2011 19:08

G'day Bri.

Indigenous design? Looks like there's light under the dash in the background. I'm thinking there's some sort of hatch/hole further along?

Canadian Vickers Vancouver?

Regards
The Stabber.

Can`t decide whether it`s single or twin engined,but powered by R-R,Falcon ,could be a Vedette,or a Viking ...?also,the mag.switches are still `on`..
