Fieseler Storch?

evansb 8th Apr 2009 01:16

Sorry, not a Fieseler Storch. Not the Dornier J Wal, but getting closer. The mystery cockpit is a single-engine seaplane, not a flying boat.

S'land 8th Apr 2009 09:43

Hmm, intriguing! Let's try the Dornier RSIV.

MReyn24050 8th Apr 2009 12:21

S'land I would say that you are correct regarding the aircraft being a Dornier but I think it might possibly be a Dornier Do-D as that I believe was a single engine seaplane with an open cockpit.

Mel is correct. :ok: It is the Dornier Do D. Over to you.

No takers apart from gcardinal? However I have found a much better photograph of the type and this will make it much easier to solve.

Mel's Challenge

Further to my reply to one11's response this aircraft was in fact a single engine aircraft.

Mel's Challenge

Still no further takers? Flying in this aircraft must have been a great way to travel through the air.

Capot 11th Apr 2009 18:38

OK, it's wild guess time.....DH Hawk Moth, 6-seat, single engine, 1928-ish, that's all I know about it, not on the done already list.....

MReyn24050 11th Apr 2009 18:42

Mel's Challenge

Capot sorry not the DH Hawk Moth, this aircraft was a monoplane, the date was about right late 1920s..
