A DeHavilland Canada Chipmunk trainer. I remember many of these aircraft at Middle Wallop in the early 1970's with Bristows and they fly over my house every Sunday to this day towing gliders from Daedalus.

The Bristol Sycamore. I have only seen one other example of the helicopter about 25 years ago at Fleetlands in Gosport in a bad state of repair so it was good to see this one painsakingly restored.

The Airborne Museum, Pegasus Bridge

My wife Chris and I visited this fine Museum in 2009.
There are two Airspeed Horsa's on display in the grounds of the Museum, one is probably a replica and the remains of another is displayed under cover,
Regards,
Bob

Just 3 pics from the extensive collection at Warner Robins AFB. The museum is located just outside the base in the town of Warner Robins, Georgia. Well worth a visit. That's Georgia USA, note the sunshine, not Europe, note no rain/cloud/fog!! Follow the link:

Volume 30th Jan 2013 13:34

Just seen the parallel thread which has been closed refering to this one....

In the Netherlands, Aviodome at Lelystad.
Is that one open again? Tried to visit it last spring and it was closed

Proplinerman 30th Jan 2013 19:30

Aviodrome did go bust towards the end of last year I believe, but I think they have re-opened, though I'm sure there will be/will have been major changes. Anyone here with some more up to date info?

Deutsches Museum Flugwert Schleissheim - Munich

This museum is well worth a visit. The Junkers factory was on the airfield and the hangars are still visible.

Yes, Oberschleissheim is an excellent museum. That Storch, I suspect, is this Morane-Saulnier Criquet re-painted:

They've also got this very nice Dak:

And a very nice Antonov 2:

I visited on an airshow day-hence crowds.

The top one is very pretty! A Waco?

barit1 5th Feb 2013 13:47

Definitely a Waco cabin model, mid-30s. Not a cheap one either, with that H-S constant-speed prop.
