Cool Fly To The Past (Blenheim Palace) piccies...

Scorching day today, and a damn good show from everybody at Blenheim Palace, which has a bright future as a show venue I think - but gawd it's expensive at 40 odd quid a ticket including car parking! Still far less hassle than RIAT, the music & aircraft mix works well and the 1940s atmosphere was great.

Ref DB's 1st picture - don't know yet what the females are doing but the blokes in the background are doing it too.

Mmm . . .maybe the gals are trying for the Barbra Windsor effect from Carry on Camping?

Excellent piccies again DB! Bet the old duffers in Woodstock didn't much like all that noise - I used to live literally just over the wall from the palace and they used to moan about the puddle jumpers at Kidlington - they must have been absolutely purple with indignant outrage.

5 points for guessing which bit of music was being played over the PA during the first picture... and witchdoctor, I had one of the locals come over and ask for copies of the pictures I was taking so they weren't all purple!

Well done Barnes, I knew it could be done!

Ring Ring Ring (sound of old bacolite 'phone).

Dah Dit Dah Dit Dah Dit .................... (morse coming through the 'phone)

Its Dinghy!

Then the music, followed by Guy 'Gibby' Gibson taking the remaining Lancs home.
