Dutch Connie due into Duxford today 14:18 local
Just spoke to Duxford who expect the Dutch Constellation to land at Duxford at 14:18 local TODAY (Wednesday). Plan is for it to depart for Manston tomorrow (then onto Holland) and it may not return to the UK in the future ... so see it while you can.

Take it you will be there Damien - hope you'll post some of your great pics here - sadly I can't get there, my only hope is that it routes close to Calais tomorrow while I'm there - fat chance, eh!
Cheers

Lovely jubbly! Thanks for the heads-up - I'll be hurtling past this evening about 1730, be great to see the old girl. She was arriving yesterday, but got held up before departure.

Just read on WIX that she's only staying for an hour and a half or so and then pushing straight on to Manston...
Hope you get to see her...

Lucky sod! I'm still hoping to go to Manston in the morning and see it, if it's going to be there.
Reg is N749NL, presumably to enable it to fly. Think the Captain is Frank Lang who brought the MATS one over in '99.

She's due to depart Duxford any minute now I'm afraid... nightstopping at Manston - Duxford say that she *was* due to leave at 16:35 local but has been slightly delayed... however she's 'definitely' leaving this afternoon.
Never any guarantees with shaky old bits of kit like this though

Drove like a man possesed to Duxford after Treadigraph's post. Fabulous machine, lovely departure and flypast. Get down to Manston, where it will be residing until Friday

Nice one Damian,
Beautiful aircraft!
Are you taking those with a digital camera? Your Bruntingthorpe ones were decent quality too... I need to invest I think!!

Curses! She'd long gone by the time I went by - in retaliation, I shall watch no more Dutch videos until it comes back...
I believe the saying is 'Als je tandvlees maar lekker smaakt!'
Smashing pics, Damien - and I think the cameras are only for tax discs; they've been there for about ten days now. Time will tell, though, eh?????
