Here's a bittersweet slice of nostalgia that I chanced upon a while ago. Reminds me that the war was fought by young men who gave up so much for the rest of us

I can recommend visiting this exhibition if you are in the area. It is a wonderful insight to a very personal experience of the war, made all the more poignant by the artist's sad death. There is also a book available containing a selection of Mr Rarey's drawings and writing.
It is extremely generous of Mr Rarey, Jnr, to share these memories with everyone, and I know that I am not alone in thoroughly enjoying the exhibition.
