ATA Ferry Pilots Notes
I find you chaps to be most helpful and knowledgeable so I have a question to ask. Is there somewhere on the internet that I can find the page from the ATA Ferry Pilots Notes for the P-51D? I've been watching eBay and have searched but I've come up empty. Thanks in advance. And my condolences to anyone who loved the Queen as much as me.

You could keep an eye out for the 1972/1974 (not sure) title 'Flying Wartime Aircraft' which appears to be a partial or full reprint... I'm not sure though. I don't have a copy. I read that only seven types are included and can't find a list of which ones. Editor is Hugh Bergel.

I saw that book listed several times but never a list of the seven. I figured it wouldn't have it out of the 147 types. I saw a reprint of the whole binder on ebay but it was for 1941 so it wouldn't have the D model. To be honest I would love to have a complete original but I'm sure that would be out of my budget.

I once found a reprint of the original format in a second-hand bookshop but the price was a bit too steep for me at that time. I'm still kicking myself to this day....

Rick, I have an original copy of RAF Transport Command's Ferry Pilots Notes given to me many years ago by an RAF pilot who flew Liberators in the Far East and later was transferred to TC. I also have a 1996 reprint of the ATA notes. The Mustang entries for both are almost identical. All Mustang marks are covered up to and including the Mk IV, which was the P-51D, of course. If you let me know your email address via PM, I'll scan and send both pages. The Notes proved useful when Keenair at Liverpool acquired a Fairchild Argus but no Pilots Notes. I was happy to oblige and got myself a flight in it!

I saw a reprint on ebay recently but it was from 1941 and I wanted later. I love the ATA stories. Especially the females.
