Would that be Black Rock City (88NV)?
I'm not familiar with the place, but just happened to be reading that the Burning Man event is currently on in Nevada.
OH if correct.

Black Rock City Airport
Boarding a small airplane at Burning Man’s temporary airport in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. The Black Rock City Municipal Airport, FAA identifier 88NV, serves both general aviation and charter flights all the way out to the playa. Yes, you can fly to Burning Man, as long as you have a ticket.
Don’t expect cushy service, though. There are no vending machines, ticket counters, wastebaskets, or taxi cabs here. The same principles of Radical Self-reliance, Decommodification, and Leaving No Trace apply here as they do everywhere else in Black Rock City. Never been before? Be sure to peruse the First-Timer’s Guide thoroughly before you land.
Once on the ground, the crusty and professional crew of 88NV will take care of you. The Black Rock City Municipal Airport website will tell you everything you need to know about flying in and out of BRC, sky diving, RC/drone aircraft, and how to get involved.
This should be easy.
No points for identifying the aircraft!

The smoke comes and goes, depending on the prevailing wind. I live about 20 miles from the Front Ranges of the Rockies. I have probably only seen the mountains for about ten days in the last four months!
At least one ferry ride. The last time I was at this aerodrome, I took the scenic route home, involving three ferries.

A more modern picture.
Vancouver Island I guess??
Well I hadn't had time to look at the airports on Vancouver Island so the actual airfield is news to me - I know I42 goes to and fro to Vancouver quite a bit and so his mention of ferries made that bit easy.
Yes, CFB Comox (CYQQ), known as Comox Valley Airport for civil flights. Recently I flew in there for the first time, a couple of days after a WestJet 737 had an unfortunate encounter with a C-130:
The Snowbirds picture is from this lovely video:
The team migrates there every winter, from their home at CFB Moose Jaw, to escape the rigours of the Prairie winter.
ea200 has the con.
