Yes 24-hour rules applies to all 3 “quiz” threads.
However officially, it applies only to the poster of the challenge, who is only allowed to confirm the answer after 24-hours.
But when the correct answer is already given a lot of other readers are put-off to search themselves. So usually I let the challenge “ripe” for 24-hours as well. Perhaps adding a hint myself, like you pointed to Cricklewood.
