Tuner Aircraft Mk III

Designed by the Marconi firm. Any idea how long the type remained in service? It reputedly allowed clear speech for about 20 miles and was used to correct artillery gunfire. The airman ground operator was based in each Battery. Over 500 RAF airmen were killed doing that task in the period April to November 1918.
