tangmere airfield control tower

hi, if anyone is interested there is a campaign afoot to try and restore the control tower on tangmere airfield. I am sure any help would be greatly appreciated and believe there is a gofundme page. please pass this on and help to achieve this.

hi, I believe they are aiming to raise some money, to do surveys etc and then hoping to apply for lottery funding. Have a look on spirit fm website, there are more details on there.

hope they get their funding - Tangmere is iconic

here is what one couple did at the old RAF north creake tower (NC was famous for the deployment and development of window and mandrel counter measures, using stirling's and halifax's) -
(they got some crowdfunding for the outbuildings)

'Our breakfasts are vegetarian....'
Won't be going there then (NO I'm not vegan, I'm a carnivore and proud of it. B & B breakfasts aren't breakfasts without bacon.)

seriously old chap re the Veggie breakfast (the breakfasts are not vegan)
- I have stayed there a few times since they opened in 2014 and Claire's massive fry up is Awesome, as is her porridge, pancakes and jams, stewed fruits, homemade everything - you really dont miss the sausage and bacon at all!
so please dont be put off

the couple are doing so much for the history and archives of the place and hats off to them - you will have a fabulous stay in the footsteps of RAF bomber and coastal command -

RAF Langham dome is nearby too as are wells next the sea, walsingham, and some lovely village churches and pubs like the 3 horseshoes at warham - all have some RAF links

photo of control tower brekkie and my Lancaster flight on Vera I did the day before my first stay at RAF North Creake control tower B&B
