Beriev VVA-14

I was saying to myself just the other day that there always seems to be some strange aircraft that I have never heard about, come to light that actually was able to fly successfully. Would you have been willing to be the test pilot on the first flight?

I noticed that it didn’t get airborne from the water, in that video. Did it ever?

I think he meant "from the water"....
IIRC the machine is now at Monino.
