737NG Simulator (Re)launch
Hi all,
I'm part of a team who used to run ufly737.com, a fixed based 737NG sim which is now lying in storage since the business closed in Sept last year.
As part of the team we're looking to relaunch the sim in an aviation related environment, this sim is for entertainment purposes only and not CAA approved for any MCC training, therefore we're looking at letting kids try their hand at flying or possibly some other ventures like virtual type rating preparations for ATPL grads.
We are looking for venues around the London area who may be interested in working with us to help get it relaunched; the owner would like the sim to be made use of in a professional environment where it can be used constructively, so no garages or spare bedrooms ta.
The sim can be viewed on youtube:
We may start a kickstarter crowd funding pitch if we can't find a venue.
If anyone is interested in finding out more, please pm me.

We had some chap on NZ radio this morning using a similar system to raise money for his project. It was for a camera that
you wear so that you can save any incidents that you say find funny and wish to keep.He claims that you have to push a button to
actually "keep" the pictures and he also claims that the camera is easily seen by others and so not a spy camera. I can foresee
fisticuffs if the wrong type of person sees it

Kickstarter is one of a number of crowd funding platforms for gathering money from the public, which circumvents traditional
avenues of investment.[21][22] Project creators choose a deadline and a minimum funding goal. If the goal is not met by the
deadline, no funds are collected, a provision point mechanism.[23] Money pledged by donors is collected using Amazon Payments.
[24] The platform is open to backers from anywhere in the world and to creators from the US or the UK.[25] In June 2013,
Kickstarter announced that it would open up to those looking to launch projects from Canada.[26]
Kickstarter takes 5% of the funds raised.[27] Amazon charges an additional 3–5%.[28] Unlike many forums for fundraising or
investment, Kickstarter claims no ownership over the projects and the work they produce. The web pages of projects launched
on the site are permanently archived and accessible to the public. After funding is completed, projects and uploaded media
cannot be edited or removed from the site.[29]
There is no guarantee that people that post projects on Kickstarter will deliver on their projects, use the money to implement their
projects, or that the completed projects will meet backers' expectations. Kickstarter advises backers to use their own judgment
on supporting a project. They also warn project leaders that they could be liable for legal damages from backers for failure to
deliver on promises.[30] Projects might also fail even after a successful fund raise when creators underestimate the total costs
required or technical difficulties to be overcome.[31][32]
