50 years of "JFK"

24th Dec 2103 marks the 50th anniversary of the renaming of Idlewild, later New York International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Perhaps 50 years is enough and it can go back to being Idlewild now.
Many of the other places hurridly renamed after the assassination have reverted to their "proper" names, so why not this one?

Always thought "Idlewild" caught something of the spirit of the operation.....
