Question

Told you it was easy. I last went there in 2004, operating a commercial 737 on a military charter. The WRAF controller asked me if I was familiar with Akrotiri. I could truthfully reply "not since 1975", which could well have been before she was born. She didn't seem able to think of a reply to that. I saw the black aircraft that wasn't there in '75, still wasn't there in '04.

Regret that on all the numerous visits I made to Akrotiri I never once saw the black aircraft that wasn't there.

OK, new one for the thread

Take a look at male half of a flighty pair.

"As I was Taxiing, with care,
I saw a 'plane that wasn't there.
It wasn't there again today.
I wonder where it goes away?"

Well, it's been 24 hours, so if I may: You could make an awful lot of Stratocasters from this. (Airfield)

24 hours again. Time for a clue. Check out Fender's website, and take a look at the Eric Clapton Stratocaster.

Do you mean I've wasted several hours trying to make an anagram out of 'Stratocasters'?

Correct. Apparently, Alder is the most common wood used in Stratocasters, and you could make a lot if you had a grove of them. Open House has been declared.

For TTN. Some sad pillock is busy using fake names and sending PMs. One of them is tankretrashnav (note spelling). You might want to take a look at the thread running on the military forum. Regards, Herod.

Thanks Herod - I've had the heads up on that one, and the mods know about it and have banned it (and many others).

There is also someone calling himself "lightingmate".

However, he is genuine - just make sure you do not confuse me with him, as has ocurred in the past.

There is also a certain "newt" ...........................he may appear to be a certain type of lizard which lives in water.

He has often been seen walking on all fours, but has never managed to walk on water or glue himself to the ceiling......................

...to the floor yes.................

'artnoon all.

Since nobody is having a go at my silhouette challenge, I've
come over to this playground.

If you move very very slowly, you could fall into one of these.
