Here is a read only link to the Aerodrome Database - WhichAerodrome.xlsx. Up to date as of 1/5/2019. Catching up slowly - up to May 2019 now (Mar 2020).
Here are some "rules" for Which Aerodrome. These are based upon the original suggestions from the very first thread, and have a few additions. Also please be patient as when you are active others may be asleep.

Thanks. Useful spot for a forced landing if SAM has modified your taiplane, albeit not mine. Very familiar in mid-1970's, and also familiar with a little further north.

My work in Saudi Arabia did not involve the Jaguar.
I was a BAe contract flying instructor at the King Faisal Air Academy. Strikemasters.
The Oman job would have been far more fun and a better lifestyle, but the salary was no contest.
I arrived at the end of 1985 and the BAe senior manager (a retired brigadier) said:
"In the calendar here it's 1406, and it won't take you long to realise that's just about right".

Try this - quite a long way from Oman ..................
The terrain, the fence and the nicely painted Cessna make me think of the USA.
yes it is the USA - a number of quite large airports around this one, two of which are closely linked by the same historical event

I can link Wiley Post and Will Rogers in the same historical event, so I must have a stab at nearby Clarence.E. Page Airport. A noteable aviation figure, I am told, but no info on status as a record breaker and the field does not look likely.

I'm on the horns of dilemma here as my description of the links between the airports is not clear - or not as clear as I thought...........................
It is indeed Oklahoma CIty and Wiley Post , a very useful airport I used several times - the other major airports are Will Rodgers ( who was killed with Post in the same accident), Tinkler AFB ( the first Native American to command a USAAF Squadron and killed flying a Liberator attack on Wake) and Clarence E Page, a noted aviator and promoter... and there are at least another 5-8 local airports.
Dook seems to have ID'd the airport first so I guess , in fairness, it's his call

I worked for the same company at the Technical Studies Institute, KAAB Dhahran from Jan 89 to Aug 99. Like yourself, the salary was the main attraction. There had also been the opportunity to work for Grumman in Riyadh but opted for BAe.
Several of your Strikies ended up at the TSI as GI airframes just before I left.
