Which Aerodrome Mk III
Looking at the line-up of Cubs I think it maybe an Army /KLM flying training school....
Lelystad it is
I think Lelystad is the only city in the Netherlands named after a person (besides some Kings and Queens)
Mr Lely was the engineer who engineered the Afsluitdijk and made the plans for the various big polders.
The photo of the Helicopter was from somewhere on the ring dyke around Flevoland.
Currently Lelystad Airport is being extended to form a relief airport for Schiphol (charter flights without onward connections)
The field is -12ft AMSL
Dook thanks!
What Schiphol has grown!
These hangars were on what now is the far North East corner of Schiphol.
The U-bend in the Ringvaart is the place where Fort aan de Schiphol has been.
It is now part of the foundation of the A9 highway bridge
I remember as being a kid visiting Schiphol and Aviodrome with my parents somewhere 1980.
Then already there were plans to build a new Airport in the North Sea or in the Markermeer.
Now Schiphol has doubled or tripled in flights. The Dutch have build 2 Maasvlaktes (harbours) into the sea and we have build the new Hongkong and Tokyo airports abroad but we still cannot decide upon a new airport for ourselves.....

Thank you dook. In the 1980's I had a book about Air Traffic Control which had an aerodrome map of Hurn. Stuck in my mind for some reason.
Something a bit newer but still now historic...

That's in the BA paint job "Dove" for the 2012 London Olympics I think.
Europe I would say.
Could be Dusseldorf but for the background.
edit: Didn't realise there were so many photos of that A319 around !
