Not Madagascar - i 'm not sure if Vasco D G ever went there and I'm pretty sure the second explorer didn't at all - heading out for the evening but another clue...
Sofala is now the Province name - old Sofala Town was replaced by Beira more or less I think
This is not Sofala or Beira but it is in Mozambique - i'm out for two hours...

Back from dinner
Nvubu has it! Quelimane (again many spellings ) it is
Dr Livingstone visited here as well - the locals speak Portuguese and Swahili as well as their local languages
Not much happens here............................... but it's not a bad spot ... been in a lot worse - especially in Africa

Wot a lotta Twottas....!
Your continent ,broadreach...?
Your continent ,broadreach...?
looks like a KingAir right center - presumably close to the coast or a major river
Getting closer, Asturias. Swampy, lots of mosquitos, and there's something about that feeder channel and the concrete structure that almost reaches it. There's only one place in South America where you'll find such a collection of Twotters and, if you look closely, there are stands for a lot more than appear in the photo.
