Is it Hatfield?
I found a postwar photo with the new runway and taxiways, taken from roughly the same angle. The distinctive wood beyond the airfield and field boundaries near the wood were the clincher.

Indeed - I guess the 'nacht Tranent 3km Luftlink' was a bit of a giveaway clue though!
