Heikkis' Silhouette Challenge
Evening Ken. Saw your light on and just popped in to say g'day and to tell I have no idea, yet, but it looks like you could cut your hand on that leading edge.
Trevor usually pops in later.

G'day Graeme...unfortunately the resolution on the original image was poor so the silhouetted version as edited in Paint is not good.
Hope all is well with you mate?
I'll be closing down soon....2255 here, so I'll wish you a good day. May catch you later.
Cheers
Edit to say....managed to improve the image a bit!

Morning David. Each engine appears to have twin exhausts which because of the positioning of the engines are actually above the wing. The angle of the original photo makes them appear as bumps. Pistons.
Was this exhaust design of the "augmenter" type to give slight extra thrust, or simply so that the corrosive exhaust gasses were kept clear of the wing and flaps?
An experimental Convair design?

Any connection to SIAI?

Found a picture of an Aero Commander with two exhausts above the wing. Retracted gear, though…...
