Baylies Field
Was this really on the West Island? - Scrap that.
Found it North of Route 6 and Mills Road, apparently the appr. South-North long field with farm-looking buildings in the mid-way. North of the current soccer fields (or whatever).
Is it possible that Freeman does not know about it?

Yes !! Baylies Field, West Island, MA. USA.
Aka Fairhaven.
Henry T Olden owner and pilot of his 'Sounds Airways' started Transcontinental flights in 1930.
His was one of the first Airlines to have a hostess and offer passengers a hot inflight meal.
Wonder how they would match up with todays in flight meal ??
Clint.
Not sure who has the helm ? But off you go.!!!!!

I think I can take the Open House, as the real drivers both have so declared o
Mine is a bit far-fetched and post-festum, but lets have it. I will expedite it if it is not popular.
The drill: After this coronation, there was a major event arranged for the common people on a parade and exercise field, which later became and aerodrome. Which aerodrome?
There is a certain connection to the today's event (my apologies, Clint )

Sabredog has it!
Khodynka Aerodrome (officially Frunze Central Aerodrome) was an airport in Moscow, Russia located 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) northwest of the centre of the city. It was the only airport in the city until the opening of Vnukovo in 1941. It is no longer active and today the whole site has been redeveloped for other uses.
One connection to the Royal Event (yesterday) is that the spouse of Nicholas, Imperial Consort of All Russias, Alexandra Fjodorowna (originally Alix von Hessen-Darmstad) was a grand-daughter of Queen Victoria, and had been raised in her court since she was six years old, as her mother Princess Alice had died.
(This was, BTW, one of the reasons why Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany corresponded in English in part of the Dear Willy - Dear Nick correspondence (Giggle this!). The mother of Wilhelm II was the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria.)
Over to you, Sir!

Thank you Mr Sabredog. Have a look at this one (current view):
NB I shall be brave and try to make it through this challange but you should be aware that it is no means certain as I have a bad case of man flu.

Could it be in Greece..?
