I'll have to change my break times; this is getting embarrassing!! They just seem to be coinciding with the juicy clues.

Sorry mate, but it's going to have to be another Open House as I'm back to work in five minutes.

Blimey, that wing probe is bigger that the one on the Lightning!

Big enough to be a flight-refuelling probe.

Research machine?

I want the specific model and the operator
I would be happy to work out who makes it....!

There doesn't appear to be a lot of room for a cockpit (in that the wing is doesn't look a lot higher than the top of the engine cowling)....is it a UAV?

Not a UAV Ken. There is a windscreen albeit smaller than on the original aircraft model. There was certainly enough room for one pilot - the original could take two.

Assuming the original had that undercarriage it does limit the selection somewhat. That coupled with the wings, which from their shadow appear very much Cub'ish. Difficult to guage the age of this one....are there any (many?) still around today?

The original was a taildragger. "Cub"ish? Yes! Your third question - no, not in this form

As opposed to Cub'ish, was it actually a Cub conversion?

Yes, Skytrain, it is a research machine based on a Cub variant.

Despite trying for a fair while I haven't found it on the web! Google doesn't bring it up
