As forecast , that went quickly. The first original did not last much longer, crashing with the loss of all on board on its first flight...the SNCAC NC211 Cormoran............

Over to you OBAman

Hmm...too bad RR's post was not carried through to conclusion.. The Berlin B9 was an absolutely fascinating design, worthy of further discussion. I remain nonplussed.

evansb,

Well, RRs' challenge was out of sequence after all, a point which I think he recognises. I had not yet confirmed my post 4037 and Noyade had not identified it.

We now have skytrain correctly identifying the latest.

Since you have correctly identified RRs' post, it seems that we probably have two winners.

An unusual situation. I feel the two of you should now agree as to who will now post.

Watching with interest....

Hi Evansb,

I found the FFG Berlin B9 of interest too...(I posted it as a challenge at post #1942, back in May. Although the image appears to have been deleted somehow).

As I said then incredible airframe strength, stressed to 22G!

Regards

J.

Good morning all.

Thanks OBAman. As you say a little like the 737, albeit a stubby one. Yet another British design that never made it, or perhaps, was way ahead of its time....take a look at the Embraer 170....?

Challenge to follow shortly.

Confused...which does not take much I know. As far as I can see nobody identified RR's out of sequence post....RR told us what it was....so I cannot see that we have two winners?

Anyway here is my offering...

I agree, I posted a vague guess, which seems to have been missed by RR but was wrong anyway.

All these Ag types tend to look the same to me, except for the madder ones, but this one reminds me quite strongly of the Ayres Turbo Thrush?

Glad it wasn't just me...I was beginning to think I was missing something!

Looks like the Berlin B9 was a very interesting aircraft...I will need to find out more about it. As EvansB said, its a shame this one didn't go the course.

Unfortunately not the Ayres Turbo Thrush....

Morning to you guys!
No need to lament, the B-9 wasn't going to last very long! Since Caspar let me down I decided to let it go as it was out of sequence. You believe me, don't yas?

But all that confidence is gone with skytrain's latest challenge. Can't help but think, looking at the image, that this remained a project?

Good evening Noyade...we knew you were keeping it to yourself really!

Sorry to dash the confidence further, but this one was a real aircraft! Just struggled to find a decent silhouette/drawing.

Bugger!
