I think it looks like the Beardmore Inflexible, with those huge wheels and the trimtabs??
Just pipped me JEM60, well done! It triggered something in my memory too, but I decided to Google it first just to make sure, I would have had to declare open house anyway as I've not got anything prepared and would hate to hold up the night shift!

Not even an hour for this one. It is the Beardmore inflexible from 1928. Developed to demonstrate the innovative stressed skin metal construction process.Although it flew it was too heavy for the three Condor engines. After two years it was dismantled and used to investigate metal corrosion.

LM, not just your world. I think that my record is about 8 minutes, just enough time to load the image, check another thread and find that my challenge had been answered. Ah well, such is life. Now for the important things, I need an industrial strength half litre of tea.

I am not sure I have seen his name on this forum so he may not be aware of the protocols?
I think give it 24 hrs from his last post (so 1320 today) and if he has not submitted by then it becomes Open House.
Does everyone agree?

This is interesting. If we go OH at 1320, I can see more than one person trying to get there first with the possible result of two or three posts arriving at the same time.....
Gentlemen, set your clocks.

Noyade,
Depending on where you are in Oz, you will be about nine hours ahead of us.
Therefore it's probably 2230 your time. Stay up Mate.
Yes, I did fly the Lightning, for five and a half years 1968 to 1973.
Later the Jaguar.

I'm pretty relaxed over it...mind you if we go now (well in 30 mins) then I'm sure by the time Noyade is up and about there will be one for him to guess, and then he can set us one for Saturday am? (besides which its a shame to loose another day and I'm not around Saturday so I'll miss out).

you will be about nine hours ahead of us.
Anyone want to leave it until, say, 0900 UK time tomorrow?
Cheers
Graeme.
