A'rtnoon LM,

that looks like a Sopwith Long Range Tractor Triplane (L.R.T.Tr)

Open House please, if correct as I'm back to the workshop now until later tonight, so can't monitor at all!

Regarding the thread achieving 1,000,000 views, well done to all "players2 making it so popular. I also think a vote of thanks should go to the moderators in keeping it running as a single thread. "What Cockpit" changed threads five times over the over the 5.75 years it has been running from "What Cockpit" to "What Cockpit VI".

Good afternoon Mel.

You have a good point about the moderators. Now that it's passed the million mark possibly it may now be changed to version two.

Before I go into the classroom my ideas.

I think the engines are embedded in the wings and what you see are cowled driveshafts/reduction gearboxes.

If that's the case it's a turboprop.

Morning!

LM, you're absolutely right with the driveshaft thing.
In fact, I have that feeling that I've seen this one before...
Will start searching.

Coffe break.

Changed my mind - it looks too old to be a turboprop.

Judging by the propeller diameter the engines must develop a lot of torque.

Diesel?
