Post - is that an improtant date? Or do you have "Helicopters of the World" published in 1958?

Not Czech or Spanish. And whereas Russia is partly within Europe, don't look there because it's its not Russian.

Not from Wells, although maybe Orson Welles could have thought to send the Martians in using these if they had been available from his set shop. Not US, ether.

Looks better for ploughing than flying, agree.

Struggling to find this one. Not on the 2 usual helicopter websites. A Polyot or MAI design maybe?

Neither. Depends on what you call usual.

My source has it on the same page as "Polyot", whatever that means.

Last edited by RegDep; 7th Apr 2011 at 15:03. Reason: Not sure if Polyot means a proper or a noun.

Was this by an independent manufacturer, as opposed to one of the major OKB's like Kamov or Mil?

Skytrain, I was just preparing for a clue: this is a hilarious story of a two individuals who already built two helicopters (based on drawings that since then have disappeared), and set themselves to build and own design, using apparently a home-made water-cooled Wankel engine.

You want to try the rest, or should I spill it out so the thread can go on?
