Lympne 1946 kings cup air race

Are there any pics. out there of this 1946 event, or maybe any of the other 1946/56 Kings Cup air races, or even of events at other airfields in theUK. during that period?

Any help gratefully received.

So there were these two elderly gents flying across from Le Touquet to Lympne; all the way across the channel they were arguing how to actually pronounce the name of the airfield, so they decided to ask someone on the ground when they arrived. On going to refuel, thay asked the refueller; he looked at them rather strangely, shrugged and said 'Shoreham'.
