What happened to Count Cantacuzene?

Does anyone know what happened to the 1950s aerobatic ace Count Cantacuzene, did he die of natural causes? Or was he kidnapped & murdered?

Are there any pics of him performing his wonderful landing antics ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

He died on 26 May 1958 during an unsucessful operation. He was suffering from the combined effects of a liver complaint and an ulcer. Other stories, including his twin-engined aircraft catching fire from the smoke candles on the wings, are untrue. There are currently moves to bring his remains home from Spain to Romania. There must be some film of his displays somewhere. He was one of the most skilled aviators any of us are likely to see in action again. One fascinating piece of trivia is that his wife remarried in America. She was film star Nadia Gray and appeared in La Dolce Vita and even an episode of The Prisoner TV series. Her daughter is Linda Gray - Sue Ellen in Dallas!
