I'm surprised this thread has got as far as it has without mentioning this beauty.
The Republic XF-12 Rainbow.

Either that or pretty much anything de Havilland made especially:-
DH91 as mentioned above, DH88 Comet, DH106 Comet, Hornet, Mosquito etc. etc

Super VC10 - lovely, as is Trident 3.

Spitfire IX is just gorgeous.

But far and away the best is, as Chiglet said........

IMO the TSR2 and DH Hornet. Although the DC3 is the best and greatest Aeroplane ever built,

I must seem strange to be the only person to see this but I think the original B1 is the bees knees in the looks department.

Never seen anything sleeker.

I'm kind of partial to this one.

Plus, you can take a whole bunch of your friends fishing.

Correct. Beginning it was the 119 but was later redesignated the 220. It was a 9G airplane with a 12psi pressurization system. McDonnell built 'em tough. I tlost out to the T-39 and the Jetstar for military contracts.

While there are many aircraft that are beautiful, one that attracted my attention immediately and I have never changed my mind about it is the Falcon 10/100 by Dassault. Shear beauty.

Canadair RJ-200 - BAC 1-11's & VC-10's heir and probably the hardest working aircraft in aviation today. The DC-3 of the 21st Century!

Although I'm a little biased, having flown the Hunter, Vulcan and VC10 - all of which were undeniably attractive, surely the prettiest ever was Concorde?

Runner up - de Havilland Hornet F3. Once met a bloke who'd flown them - he told me that one pilot once spotted a group of Sabres sent up to intercept him. He wound the thing up to its max speed, then shut an engine down and feathered the prop just before blasting past their formation!

Concorde, has to be. Even on the ground it is beautiful, but airborne just stunning. Spit XIV/XVIII with low back a close runner-up.
