Mel, The Varig M-20 profile was my last original post prior to the posting of the new mystery cockpit.
I have a new password now.

Sorry, not a SIAI-Marchetti 260. This aircraft was not built in Europe.

Sorry for the delay. This aircraft has a horizontally-opposed engine.

Sorry, not the Pacific Aerospace CT-4 AirTrainer. The mystery aircraft was a success only in the country of its origin. Approximately 150 airframes were built.

Further clues to the mystery aircraft: Production ceased in 1980, and as late as 1999, 90 of the type were in operation in the country of its origin.

Yes, you are correct! Neiva did manage to sell 10 T-25 Universals to Chile, but they soon re-sold 4 of them to Paraguay. You have control.

Thanks for that. It was a great challenge and was the bar and hand grip that helped me find it. I understand this handle was for closing the canopy and part of the locking mechanism. I am sure this one will not be as difficult.

Thanks, Mel. I haven't been around as much lately as I used to and I'm happy to find this thread in great shape. Next challenge is not too conspicuous - hope it hasn't been done yet:
