I looked at the .jpg but decided not to cheat/ be made a fool by a rogue .jpg heading!
Then I wondered about Aviation Trader but decided no, then I thought Douglas DC-6 or similar???
Aviate 1138
No cockpit to offer but I am hooked on this thread.

Definitely not a DC6 or Budgie, despite the green cheat lines (Atlantique & Emerald). I can see Simon's smidgin of Boeing in there, though, with the windows and cockpit upper deck. Intrigued...

Mine too (limited though they are...) Only thing I can begin to think of is perhaps they stuck a biplane configuration on the IAR 826 or 827? But I'm probably spraying the wrong field...

Not a Yak or an IAR 826/827 derivative.
OK, let's move on: It was the IAR AG-6, manufactured at Aerostar Bacau. A turboprop variant was also planned. The better known type mentioned is the Yak-52.

I might take this opportunity to jump in with one.
Now if your subscribed to this thread, you might have had a good clue to what this craft is.
cringe- That one was a doozy. I probably have over 3000 aircraft in books here and not one mention of the AG-6. So much for "The encyclopedia of world aircraft" .... Also I think I have used up my monthly download limit searching...
