Thanks SP. Looks like a Green Beret type in the mirror..

I am presently not in a position to post a cockpit photo, so anyone else is welcome to post. Please be my guest.

Well, here's one I just happen to have to hand, that I don't think we've had before...

Currently airworthy.

Not Belgian, nor a Stampe.

Otherwise correct!

Nope!

Wrong number of wings, but one criterion is right.

Just couldn't see any struts or wires, but a CASA 131 Jungmann comes to mind. A Jungmann was on Mel's list in WC Mk.1, but the nationality wasn't specified. The airspeed indicator on this one has spanish printed on it.

Well done.

It's G-RETA, the Shuttleworth CASA built Jungmann.

I'd missed the previous Jungmann entry (it's taking longer for me to check what's not been done than to guess at others pictures!) so sorry for a 'duplicate' but I think a few are inevitable...

You have control.

Thanks JDK. An excellent flying example. I'm still not in a position to post photos, so I'll hand over control to anyone who wishes to post. Cheers!

Hi Denis,
Welcome to the game that never ends...

Thanks for the post, and I look forward to you posing a pic - you are due a go, as Mel's suggested...

As to 'sole survivor' - Well, the Tutor is unique, although there is a 626 in New Zealand, a brother or cousin type. However there is an LVG C.VI in Belgium. An absolute connection is that they were both flown by the Shuttleworth Collection from Old Warden.

A bit longer than 60 secs. How about the Wright Hughes IB? The autopilot gave it away.

You are correct! The Hughes H-1 Racer is my pick for the most beautiful aircraft ever produced.

You have control.
