Thanks, Mr BEagle, here you go.

I guess this one shouldn't last long.

Well if it's not a glider, with a yellow cable release, red airbrake lever, a prominent vario, just an altimeter and ASI, I'm a Dutchman!

Open cockpit, fabric covered?

How about a Grunau 2b?

You are not a Dutchman, and it is not a Grunau 2b either.

Slingsby Tutor?
My guess would be the Kirby cadet Mk111 - but I think they are the same beast!

Sorry to take so long - I've been out.

I'm on a boat in the S of France at the moment so haven't any pictures. Can someone else have a go please?

Happy memories of the Tutor/Cadet. Thirty circuits at the old Christchurch airfield and you were sent solo whether you could fly it or not, aged all of 16. They say that the two things you remember most vividly in your life are your first solo and the time you lost your virginity - but the former more so as you were more likely to have been sober at the time. Many a true thing...

Small, see what you mean... A Yankee perhaps Mike? Does the name Curtiss dare pass one's lips?

Nope, not that manufacturer.
In that case it must be the Martin MB-2.

Those control yokes look suspiciously like a set of Wolfram alloys to me
