Any info on the above as it was examined by the Science Museum and Quantas staff this week to ascertain if it was practical to ferry the a/c back to Aussie for the Quantas Museum. Does anyone how the examination went and what the results may be.FYI a/c has not been used since 1999 and prior to storage at Southend underwent a major check and respray.

It is a real shame to see a nice A/C like that, slowly rotting away. Such a pity it was not ferried to the desert, when airworthy.
