234 Sqn, Hunters

Hi

Anyone out there who flew with 234 Sqn and happens to have Hunter F.6A, XF282 in their log book will they please get in touch.

Not a Hunter pilot I'm afraid, but shouldnt that be XF 3 82??

Yes, well spotted that man. That's one of the problems with typing with one finger - it occasionally misaes!

Hunter XF382 it is.

I flew XF382 several times as a student on 234 Sqn at Brawdy in October to December 1974. I have it down as a straight F Mk 6. XF383, by the way, was another F Mk 6 I had flown earlier during the Valley course.

It's probably only peripheral but the Queensland Air Museum has XF311 which served briefly with 234 Sqn.

Sorry for late response. Flew 382 several times at Chivenor from '67 - '69. Also 383, both at Chiv and Valley.
