Good News! XP928 - G-CVIX

It was announced in todays Bournemouth Daily Echo that Red Bull, the sponsors of the De Havilland Sea Vixen XP928 - G-CVIX have stepped in to pay the insurance costs of the aircraft for the coming year. It appears that this aircraft also has fallen foul of new European rules regarding insurance. It seems that the owner, Gwyn Jones, was unwilling to pay the increased costs and the Sea Vixen faced being grounded along with many others.

At least this year we will see her flying around the airshows but next year hangs in the balance unless the government steps in and does something! Apparently several other aircraft based at Hurn face being grounded this year.

I can now look forward to hearing and seeing her as she passes by our house
