Air Canada colour scheme - help please
Hi all,
A friend of mine is looking to paint a large-scale model aircraft (727) in the Air Canada old colours 1978 -1988. The only problem we have is getting the right paint colours.
Would anyone here know, or be able to point me to, the correct colours (pantone chart style) so that we can complete the model?
I'm specifically after the shade of red used and also the shade of grey.
Please don't just say "red" lol, it needs to be the proper shades.
I've googled til my eyeballs hurt but with no joy.
Just to clarify the scheme i'm after :

Thanks a lot

Someone at Air Canada seems to care about their old aircraft.
You might try contacting them, using the Contact Us link on this page:

Empress,
With a name like that, surely you should be making CP models?

Ok, here's the info I received back from our materials and procurement archives, I hope the numbers mean something to you:
White is BAC7152, Courtaulds base 821x402
Gray is BAC 7131, Courtaulds base 822x426
Red is Courtaulds base 824x450 (unsure on BAC#); at the end of May 1984 there
is a new stock number set up for BAC1186 (only partially legible Courtaulds
p/n) and it's called "new" AC red.
The original white, gray and red all used hardener/thinner combination
910-152/020-337.

OMG THANK YOU!!!! *hug*
You guys are the best!!!!
Seriously I love you all!
hehe India Four Two, the next one after this will probably be another CP Air model.
I have a Hasegawa 1/200 747-200 C-FCRA and a 737-200 CF-CPU. I painted these myself just eyeballing the colours. But now the glue is drying up and the paint is fading, so Im going to be remaking them as soon as I can find a decent size 737, 747, DC-8, DC-10 and maybe even another 727 for good measure. hehe so stay tuned.. you might have a request for CP Paint codes soon too!
Its my goal to do the entire Air Canada and CP Air Fleet from the 80s!
Thank you all again! Youve been more than helpful!
