Came off runway at 1430 ish. Possible steering problem. Pilot fine.

It was the BBMF Mk IX. I'm told that it suffered a burst tyre on landing, came off the runway and ended up on its nose.

Mk IX? I thought they were XIXs?

If it ended up on its nose, does that mean a new prop & engine?

They've got a MkIX as well (it came out of the "pickle jar" at St Athan or wherever several years ago), but I have also heard it was the Mk V. They've had an unlucky season...
