Although you either have to wonder at his courage, or laugh at his stupidity. The most likely scenario here is the QF long haul pilots will come to an agreement with the company in due course. By a factor of 10/1 I’d guess. So with possibly a 10% chance of his plan working he has staked his professional reputation on it. It is now common knowledge who this person is. His actions thus far have shown his true character. I hope your self-destruction was worth it. |

Apparently the designing of the internal fitout for the Sunrise A350s has been contracted out to a New Zealand company with the work to be completed so that the first aircraft can be fitted out for a 2021 delivery. .... |

Vote
I will be voting Yes for EBA 10 like many junior pilots in mainline. Will be interesting if the company and AIPA make any changes this week before putting out for vote. Hopefully the union and QF agree to terms.
Just remember if you don’t want to do Sunrise flying you don’t have to do it. But keeping the flying in house will be beneficial for everyone’s careers and future QF pilots. The SO fleet pay is no different to the current offered on the b787. (The horse bolted on this in EBA9.) Some people are saying we are cutting new hires short. Even if they didn’t change the pay, new hires recruited this year and into the future will never make it onto the b744 or the a380 with the current numbers that are employed ahead of them. 10 years time these legacy fleets will be gone. First day lottery as stated in EBA 9 will favour junior positions of the b787 and a 330. Vote for yourself and family. Don’t get caught up in negative BS. |

You vote yes right now, and you can guarantee that the ‘in house’ flying you have voted for will vaporise before the ink is dry on the (emailed) page. PIA will cost millions in bankable bonuses. At least don’t be as stupid as the EBA9 voters believing a thousand 787’s will rain down on everyone and a Chamberlain like ‘peace in our time’ will prevail for decades to come. |

Dont get caught up in negative BS
Wow,this tells me that you should listen only to positive BS,i guess a letter from a China Southern captain to the CEO of another airline would be classed as positive & of course not actually BS.
Think you may have still got your blinkers on. |
If the music stops (or when Sunrise reverts back to 1/1/2 crew) then if I was you I'd rather have the ability to head to the 380 still available However if you choose to you’ll now be paid an appropriate salary for the position. |

All these "new FO positions" that will be opened up with the A350 will be to some degree SO's coming from the more senior fleets (380/747) and if you think for one minute that the company wont be hiring the future guys and gals that you are selling out directly onto the 380 then you're kidding yourself. If the music stops (or when Sunrise reverts back to 1/1/2 crew) then if I was you I'd rather have the ability to head to the 380 still available. Don't vote yourself into that permanent 330 SO spot too quickly!
They made it pretty clear that the SO's will be hired either directly into mainline, or into another entity. I bet you any money the package they get will be a lot better in mainline, then a new entity. It doesn't matter which way we go, new hire SO's are going to lose out either way. At least with a yes vote, we get to keep the sunrise flying in house. I know which way I (and many many new joiners) will be voting. |
Don’t forget that if the A350 goes to mainline all the other provisions of the EA apply.
The pay protection, sick leave etc. All new hires get that. Not to say it’s acceptable what the company are offering but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. |
Yep, and you can bet a new entity EBA will be absolute bare minimums. Jetconnect anyone?
Secure the flying. Go after improvements once the planes are here. |

Are you aware of how EBAs are negotiated at EVERY QF group airline? There is nothing that will ever be recovered if this is voted up. |

There is constantly improvements made during EBA renewals. Vote no, and you will never get the chance to improve conditions, because the flying will go elsewhere. |
