Broome longer than runway 27 in melbourne, which A330s use everyday.

That may be the case, but given the urgency present here, it is highly likely the landing weight would have been significantly higher than landing at the end of planned flight.

Possibly at higher speed depending on failures too.

Are there any suitable taxiways or parking bays suitable for widebody wingspans or weights in Broome? Just curious, as an emergency landing will override this. I haven’t been there for years, but we used to have weight limits there for a 737-800.

Where did it park?

Yes and at a guess they'd be a little over
738 has higher psi so being lighter it can still have issues vs a bogey'd

Qantas B767s have been in there half a dozen times for an overnight.

Considering it was towed onto the runway with multiple observers prior to engine start, and required a guide for the turn around at the beginning of the runway I'd say not for wheel track. The taxi and take off procedure effectively closed the airport for the best part of half an hour. Advise to inbound aircraft - hold time unknown - advise latest divert time.

Given that the whole town seemed to know of the departure time in advance a NOTAM would have been nice.
