I found this report fascinating. Written by Alex Gries and Andy Spencer in November, it details LH458 refusal of a night visual approach into KSFO. Its contemporary and gives both sides of the story.
A good read for Aussie international pilots operating to the US. Only issue is pprune is not allowing me to copy and paste! so you will have to google it. Be great if some genius can upload it.
