Surely this should get the attention of the main news outlets? I would have thought there would be aviation reporters that could see an opportunity to get a headline here. A proper explanation of how the system works, how it operated five years ago, and how it’s operating now tied in with the suggested 19% increase in fees to the flying public etc could be done quite nicely.

Will any senior manager's bonus in No Air Services Australia be affected by yet another outage in the system?

Plus it is December, the Canberra bubble will be closed for Christmas.

As long the Qantas Chairman's Lounge is open, flying is safe.

I wonder how many vacant shifts there are on the CNS APP roster in December. It's likely that tonight's TIBA/TRA is because no-one was rostered on the shift (or shifts), and no-one agreed to cover the shift on Overtime. An audit of vacant shifts on rosters across the country would probably reveal frighteningly high numbers, with the expectation that someone agrees to cover the shifts either by Change of Shift, extending their shift or working Overtime. If not, then TIBA/TRA, or OPR Restrictions (see other thread).

Apparently guys/gals in Sydney earning $500K+, which is well north of double the base salary. As much o/t, cos, stand-downs, shift extensions as your body permits.

Don't worry about elevated fatigue levels, they will get signed off by your friendly manager.

I remember the last one airside at the Aero Club. Ruined by a drunk bunch at the gables mooning a DJ 737 rotating off 15. "Everyone inside"!

If so, then that would place them ahead of the AsA executive, except the CEO who last FY $871,632 plus $126,750 into a defined benefit super fund, total package more than $1.03m. Ahead of Curran, Logan and Bennetts.

I'd heard similar, 900+ hours of OT, plus COS etc, long sequences of elevated fatigue scores. Tick, tick, -----.

What International flights? a medivac out of PNG?

Don't believe airport management and the "spin" on just how many tourist flights are inbound!

PX flights from Singapore and Philippines to Port Moresby etc, carry CNS as an alternate when required but easily shifted to Townsville.

It normally only lasts till around 6am or so. JQ generally delays the flights out of Japan to arrive after any closures.
