Canadian wetlease agreement
- Flair Airlines and Bonza have formed a wet lease partnership, allowing them to optimize their resources and maximize operations during peak travel seasons.
- Flair operates a fleet of 20 Boeing 737 aircraft, with the 737 MAX 8 as their backbone, and has experienced high on-time performance and completion rates this summer.
- Bonza, a young airline in Australia, has rapidly expanded and will be wet leasing two of Flair's aircraft to support the opening of its new base at the Gold Coast Airport, adding 100 jobs to the local economy.

777 Partners have in the order of 60 738s on order over the next few years
Combined allocation to both F8 and AB
Some were surrendered both because of the tail end of Covid with F8 and the delay with getting AB going
There are some apparently still due to 777 this year and regular deliveries scheduled over the next few years
Looking forward, Bonza will only have issues getting frames if F8 needs them, contrary to what the doomsayers indicate, they are going gangbusters with average loads over 89% and plenty of expansion

What looks like will sink this joint is an absolute lack of Pilots. Mildura passengers being put on the bus.
That problem can be solved by perhaps throwing some cash at the crew. Consistently advertising for more crew on low ball wages will only make the problem worse.

I can't wait to see what happens when Flair want some extra frames in their northern summer, along with crews. Do they take them from Bonza who then cancel a load of routes? All goes to issues with their long term sustainability if people don't have the confidence the flight will operate, regardless of how cheap it might be.

I doubt that AB will send anything to F8
Likely just spin to explain the Flair birds over here for their OOL launch
I can see some Flair birds Dec-Feb to handle peak holiday loads ongoing
Perhaps they should sell seats on the positioning flights, 3-4 stops Canada to Oz could have a retro feel to it

Geez that brings back memories. Who remembers the old weekend DC9 run?
