You have a touching faith in the Defence Department and I really hope youíre right. However, I had a close a close association with Defence for 25 years and donít believe for 2 seconds that they are arenít capable of missing the fact that sun came up this morning.

A wee bit harsh, justifiable in some cases, but remember the ADF does not run the military, those in Government do (hence the purchase of equipment not solely based on military desirability but politics) and that in itself is self-explanatory.

I guess China wants to get drinking unhealthy amounts of coffee while telling people how good you are flying 5000+ hours per year on VH-Desk down an to a fine art. It's no wonder they are head-hunting ADF Pilots.

In the UK, they had a pause on "White Male" recruitment for diversity and inclusion rubbish, then the white males went to china to train up there fighter pilots . Karma is a bitch.

You can just imagine it now! ' Sorry Twiggy Forrest and Gina the vast amounts of materials that you export to China, may be turned into weapons and hardware that could be used against us, so the Trade with China is now illegal and could be considered Treason! HaHaHaHaHa! What a load of Crap!!!

Have an email from Sam Dastyari asking if it's OK to pick up where he was forced to stop getting cheques from China.

Exactly, the training was provided at no cost and the government is entitled to decide how it gets used.
The training wasn't provided at no cost. That's what the Return of Service obligation is for. The training was exchanged for a term of someone's life, and with an accepted risk that it may be fatal.

[ASIS man discretely beckons to Australian politician and whispers]
"Perhaps we could send some ex-CASA employees to China to help them improve their aviation regulations?"
