They're flying all over the world to 'get you home'. It is a branding exercise for them.

The 747 also ferried empty SYD-BNE-SYD and will presumably do the same for CBR

Its a pity these weren’t also open to passenger bookings to allow more people the chance to take the flight, not to mention more revenue/donations to HARS at the same time.

COVID deep clean between each of the flights was the reason given for not allowing passengers on the positioning sectors.
