More the fact there’s not enough spare jets floating around to pick up the Haneda slot and run Beijing.

So I’m guessing the extra slot will end up being 2 x 330s ex Sydney.

Makes sense, QF wants to ditch the B747 that's already on SYD-HND, 2 x A330s with each on a different schedule, 1 x daytime and 1 x overnight, will work fine.

Is that set it stone? How bout one SYD-NRT, one SYD-HND, and one MEL-HND? Seems better to offer the two different Tokyo airports out of Sydney,
