Are there less seats now into Albany & Esperence than when VARA F50's operated those routes ?

Think the VARA F50's have 46 seats, whereas Allaince F50's have 52 seats & now they have managed to get their MTOW under 20 tonnes, they could operate those routes without any silly security, which was one of the reasons VARA pulled out.

The VARA F50's must be close to being scraped for parts ?

Ah, well, Diji...there you have it; Rex have always been very good at identifying lucrative business opportunities. By filling Virgin's void, they have - by definition - removed the Virgin presence in that market!

BNE738 - it's a sad day when a company is so desperate that they have to no choice but to scrape aircraft for spares. I can't imagine that there'd be much money in the scrapings that would result - but I guess there's always a buyer for the merest shavings of metal - after all, any income is better than none when operating in such desperate times!
