Thumbs up

I reckon Jamie Freed is doing a good job here. I like her reporting. I also know that she's knocked back a number of freebies from Qatari and Qatari pulled advertising revenue from Fairfax after a few less than complimentary articles regarding safety.

The Qatari boss strikes me as the Trump of aviation. All bluster and few facts.

Yes a very good read CurtainTwitcher!

I had seen similar attributes (although not in the same context) in parts of Asia in the late 90s (still probably around now).

Not knowing the full circumstances; I found the reaction to the departure issue over the top. Human factors......no issue here (move along)...sack em!

Personal experience (not just aviation) with these attributes does not give credit (or responsibility) where it is due.

Yes! I sacked them...looks good as CEO.....but what's it like on the pointy end of the pineapple????????

Noticed the TWU Protest followed him around Sydney wherever he moved...he wasn't happy and vented his union anger at the press conference.

Wow.

It seems to me that some here are trying to paint His Excellency and a global award winning airline in a bad light?

Why?

Perhaps you missed out on a job?

Who cares about what the unions think.

Do Qatar fly to Bali or Thailand and if they do how cheap is it?

That's all I care about.

A pilot we cares only about cost?

Compylot, we call that being part of the problem in professional aviation.

Because all his aircraft weight more than 20T, he's concerned about the costs of passenger screening!
